Claritas Solutions Show Commitment To Cyber Security Through Government Cyber Essentials Certification
Leeds based IT services and solutions company, Claritas Solutions has been awarded the Government Cyber Essentials certification. The Cyber Essentials Scheme is part of the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy and accreditation demonstrates commitment to information security, providing assurance to clients and partners.
Cyber Essentials is a government-driven initiative to ensure cyber security for organisations. It is mandatory for many government and public sector contracts including several of Claritas’ customers. To obtain certification, organisations must undergo an independent assessment of the security controls they have in place to mitigate risks from internet-borne threats.
Information security is a priority for Claritas and we are dedicated to securing our customers against cyber threats. Cyber Essentials accreditation emphasises the importance we place on safeguarding ours and our customers’ sensitive data.Glenn Scaife, Managing Director of Claritas Solutions
The Cyber Essentials Accreditation ensures compliance with the five government recognised levels of information security: Boundary Firewalls; Secure Configuration; Patch Management; Malware Protection and Access Management.
Systems that fall within the scope of the Cyber Essential Scheme include internet connected end-user devices such as desktop PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones, and internet connected systems including email, web and application servers.
